Virginia Beach

Not many extended families can really say they all get along, but J's family can. As such, they have maintained a great tradition of family reunions. A first family reunion took place in 2012 in Virginia Beach, where his grandmother and some other family live. With 6 grandkids, plus 6 significant others, and now 5 great grandkids (and 1 more on the way) living in different zip codes, it is no easy feat to get everyone together. But we did it again. Last weekend, we attended the second family reunion.

I really think in a case like this, the pictures (captioned) speak better than my words would. All photo credit goes to my SIL Rachel/DocDoc.
L to R - The hosts with the beautiful property (J's uncle and aunt) and his other aunt
As usual, lots of eating involved. Here, the cousins convened in the living room to watch American Pharoah win the Triple Crown.
Here are the 5 great grandkids, all under the age of 3! One more on the way from J's cousin.
Every reunion involves a little hot tub time for the boys.
Seriously, J's family's property is the best ever
Rachel is the best photographer

Saturday was a great beach day. I am NOT a beach person, but I mustered up the interest for the sake of the kids. Actually, I didn't muster up anything. The truth is, I just sat in a beach chair and enjoyed the action from a distance.

Love this picture of J with his godson, Everett

Until next time in 2 years!!!
